The shipping tower was completed in June 2020 and trial operation began in August. Suzhou Hanson Elevator Co., Ltd. provides 11 escalators in the building. The cruise terminal was built in June 2020 at a cost of about 39 billion yen (2.5 billion yuan) in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The terminal is 430 meters long, 30 meters wide and 11.5 meters deep, capable of docking more than 200,000 tons of the world's largest super passenger ships, and is expected to serve as Japan's newest maritime gateway. |
